Yang Du

Chinese fashion designer Yang Du gave us a little insight into her wild, wonderful and humorous world of design! Du refers to her clothes as “fun, sexy and relaxed”, I couldn’t agree more. I can not wait to get my hands onto one of her wonderful owl back-packs, they are right at the top of my never-ending wish list. Her show and the fact there was dancing in it just sets her in another league within the fashion set, there seems to be no danger whatsoever of her taking herself too seriously which is so refreshing! I love the sense of FUN that her clothes portray…

What do you do and how did you get there? I am fashion designer based in London. I move to the UK 10 years ago and completed a BA in Fashion Print and an MA in Fashion Womenswear, both at Central Saint Martins. I then work for Vivienne Westwood, Giles Deacon and John Galliano before deciding to go solo. [Thank god she did!!!!!]
