TAGGED AS Chinese Artist, Ecce Homo Trilogy I, Hong Kong, Hong Kong art scene, Pearl Lam Galleries, Tsang Kin-wah
With the recent opening of Pearl Lam Galleries in Hong Kong, Pearl Lam continues to impress the Hong Kong art scene with impressive works by Chinese artists. A solo site specific show by Tsang Kin-wah, Ecce Homo Trilogy I includes a large scale text-based installation, a series of video projections, and text paintings on aluminium plates.
Ecce Homo Trilogy I is in keeping with Tsang Kin-wahs previous work which is often very dark and brooding, this exhibition is a meditation on morality and death inspired by the last days of former Romanian dictator Nicolae Ceausescu. Tsang expects to continue his work and explorations on dictators, including Saddam Hussein in an attempt to shed light on humanity’s destructive potential.
The show has received great reviews if your in Hong Kong in the next month it is on until August 27th, at Pearl Lam Galleries. 12 Pedder Street, 6/F – enjoy!
