TAGGED AS Chinese Artist, Eli Klein Fine Art, Hiding in the city, Liu Bolin, Lost in Art, Photography
Liu Bolin is a contemporary Chinese artist, born in Shandong province in 1973. His work is often inspired by political agendas and current Chinese society – showing a particular interest in China’s rapid growth and development and making social politics the heart of his art. There is a strong sense of helplessness and isolation in his work, however the context and nature of the pieces can also allow for a more light-hearted and humourous response.
In recent years Liu Bolin has received a high amount of international attention. Recently doing collaborations with Fashion houses ; Lanvin, Missioni and Valentino – these are particularly refreshing as they accentuate the rising trend of a merging between fashion and art in China.
Liu Bolin – is currently showing ‘Lost in Art’ at Eli Klein Fine Art in New York, go along to see his works!
