Huang Shan

As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago I had some friends visiting us here in Shanghai; Ben and Camillia (the ones that recently introduced me to my Art Crush : Olaf Breuning). We decided to travel to Huang Shan (Yellow Mountain) in Anhui province. The journey to the top did make us all feel as if we were being herded like cattle but by some miracle when we arrived at our peak of choice there was absolute silence. It felt completely magical…

Silence is an incredibly hard thing to find in China and I have never treasured a moment so dearly. The mist made everything look two dimensional and the four of us were quite content walking around without any certainty of what lay more than 20 metres ahead… Here are a few snaps that I took.
